Arttist Robin Clare

Born in Belize to Jamaican parents, where I lived until age four and spent the remainder of my childhood in Jamaica. My experiences of life and art in Jamaica have had a huge impact on my own work particularly my colour pallet and subject matter. It was in Jamaica where I first gained my fascination with everyday scenes and discarded materials. As a third-world country there is a wonderful imagination when it comes to finding new uses for objects and materials past their original use.

In 2000 I completed a three-year studio arts program in Canada and went on to complete a BA in Painting at University of the Arts London in 2004. I have since worked as a freelance artist based in the UK.
